Art Books. Do it!

I could use the better part of 5000 words telling you why I love a good art book, but for you fine readers, I will just hit the interior design highlights of these intoxicating bundles of paper.

Buying Guide: Room For Everyone

In the original A Room for Everyone, we tackled the challenge of designing a functional yet stylish room for a child with a spectrum disorder. The space we created a super modern aesthetic, but we know this may not always suit every family's style. Soooooo, here is a A Room for Everyone Version 2! A little less modern and a little more eclectic, this space achieves the same goal we wanted in A Room for Everyone but with a new look. Listen to the thoughtful and talented Van Ruffner (a Speech Language Pathologist who consulted on this project) talk about all of the benefits of this space for a child that has a Sensory or Spectrum Disorder. And wowie, take a look at these Before and Afters!

After all, books tell you so much about a person. Well, now you can see it all! Check out this amazing collaboration with Sarah Dickinson, the outstanding book blogger, of Sarah's Book Shelves!

Sneak Peek at “Fresh and Durable Living Room!”

The winners of the next Virtual Room Makeover are two of the nicest people on earth. They are the loving mother and father of adorable little boys, and they - like so many of us hardworking parents - surrendered one of the rooms in their beautiful house to get through the "toddler years". Raise your hand if you have had to do that too?! ((both of my hands are raised!)) But now that their little ones can safely walk up the stairs to the playroom, they can use this fabulous front room as the living room it was meant to be!

The Winner of the Phenomenal Lamp is…!

Mole’s Breath

I used to feel smug and superior around “nerds” who read the encyclopedia for fun. Then I realized do something equally, if not more, nerdy: I read paint fan decks for fun. Who is the nerd now?! If you want to know true, cheek-stinging embarrassment, accidentally chortle while reading a fan deck on an airplane. No one thinks that’s normal.
