Hanover Designs a Room for Everyone (a little less modern!)

Good design needs to be good to everyone in the family!

In the original A Room for Everyone, we tackled the challenge of designing a functional yet stylish room for a child with a spectrum disorder. The space we created a super modern aesthetic, but we know this may not always suit every family’s style. Soooooo, here is a A Room for Everyone: Version 2! A little less modern and a little more eclectic, this space achieves the same goal we wanted in A Room for Everyone but with a new look. Listen to the thoughtful and talented Van Ruffner (a Speech Language Pathologist who consulted on this project) talk about all of the benefits of this space for a child that has a Sensory or Spectrum Disorder.

And wowie, take a look at these Before and Afters!

If you look closely, you can see we used the exact same layout as the original A Room for Everyone. We switched a few pieces here and there to tone down the room’s modern look, but other than these tiny changes, this space can be still enjoyed by a family with a child on the spectrum.

Oh my gosh, do we ever love it when form meets function and a room can truly improve the way people live!
